DIY Marketing Audit

Recently I had the honor of performing a marketing audit for someone. Yes I know I’m making it sound ceremonial. No, I’m not exaggerating. ;)

A marketing audit is basically a few steps:

  1. Take an inventory of all your clients and the source through which they found you.

  2. Divide your list of clients into 2 categories: Web (they found you online) or Referral (someone recommended you).

  3. Take your (now) 2 lists and create 3 strategies for each. Strategies can include:

    1. (Web) Updating your directory listings with videos (where possible)

    2. (Web) Setting up your Google My Business profile

    3. (Referral) With permission, sending coffee gift cards to local practitioners/potential references and setting up virtual coffee dates to create community.

    4. (Referral) Joining a local clinical consultation group

  4. Decide to stop any marketing strategies that you’ve tried for at least 6 months and haven’t brought in clients and/or haven’t paid for themself.

That’s it! You’ve got your audit and your strategy all in the bag. Want me to do a marketing audit for you? Set up a call and we can chat all about your business and what’s working/not working and then make a plan!
