Meet the team.

Kawa Kuller

I’m Kawa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I identify as a queer, multiracial (Japanese, Chinese, White), sex positive, body positive, kink friendly, cisgender woman. I've lived in Oregon most of my life and know that the BIPOC, LGTBQIA+, QTPOC, kinky, polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous, and intersectional community/ies need therapists who are affirming and who can elevate and celebrate them.

I took Ariana's class April 2021 and am so excited to pass on what I learned with Ariana and to empower you to create a therapy practice that is the right fit for you.

Prior to Create Opportunity, I had been working at a clinic for 6 years and was in a stable job with high pay and good benefits. While I enjoyed the clients I worked with and my colleagues, I wanted more control over my schedule, business practices, and also to be able to seek out the population I wanted to serve.

I expected Ariana's class to offer step by step instructions to start a HIPAA compliant practice (which it did!), but never imagined it would provide so much space for me to grow and be supported through the emotions of change. I appreciated Ariana's use of a social justice lens in her class. As a queer BIPOC person I felt welcomed and seen.

Ariana Lloyd

I’m a licensed clinical social worker. I love social justice and business. I have been in the social services field since 2005, and graduated in 2010 with my MSW from Portland State University. I’ve worked (and am still on-call) at the VA hospital since 2009.

My first business was making and selling jewelry. It didn’t quite take off. Luckily, my private practice did. When people started coming to me to help them start their own practices, I enrolled in Annie Schuessler’s program and developed Create Opportunity (I talk about that here). I then worked with Annie in her mastermind for 8 months to fully develop my services.

Other business mentorship I’ve received has been through Melvin Varghese, Al Gold, and two masterminds I’m currently in (one 6+ years running). At this point, I have a solid business foundation specializing in set-up, strategy, content marketing, social justice within your practice, and community leadership.

I’ve helped over 100 people start and run their businesses, and have seen a lot of success. I’d love to help you build yours.
