Video: Making Your EBP…

Dr. Hixson taught us 3 core things:

  1. Be Flexible…in your evidence-based practice, without caving to avoidance of the client.

  2. Be Aware…of identities, nuances, power, context. Become a politicized counselor.

  3. Retain your everything…your own therapeutic values, vocabulary, style. Don’t erase yourself out of the EBP.

As a community we donated $924 to Color of Change, which works to change culture around the Black community in order to change politics and policies.
