Maybe You Should Start a Newsletter

I think you should start a newsletter. You know, if you want to.

Here are times when it's good to have a newsletter:

  • When you want to start groups

  • When you have open private-pay spots

  • When you want to sell a product or host an event

  • When you want to build community

  • When you want to share resources

  • When you want to be an activist and make a difference

  • When your dad says you're a good writer :)

And here are a couple newsletters I love:

  • Resmaa Menakem's newsletter focuses on his events and books

  • Jennifer Mullan's creates community, promotes her book, and shares offerings for working with her 1:1 or in a group

  • Jamie Weber at Kin River creates community, shares resources and is engaged in activism

  • Pooja Lakshmin creates community, shares resources, and promotes her book

  • Carissa Potter from Bad at Keeping Secrets shares art, resources, thoughts on the emotional world and, occasionally, activism

  • Design Mom shares projects, resources, some mild activism and things to make you happy

I'd love to hear about your favorite newsletter, or if you have one, I'd love to subscribe.

Thank you for reading *this* newsletter. It's an honor to have you here.
