Getting the Word Out: 3 Simple Marketing Resources

I understand that starting or running a private practice is seriously hard work. A super common theme people struggle with is:

Will anyone want my services?

I've been in your shoes, and so here are three helpful strategies that I've used over and over:

  • Talk to someone. It's easy to get in your head, doubt yourself, doubt your niche, doubt the meaning of life, etc. It happens! Talk to someone you have confidence in, and put into words what's going on in your head.

  • Trust yourself. Once you've sorted through your thoughts, go back to trusting yourself. You are wise. You know what you want, and you are effective in helping others. Yes, it can feel shaky, but trust yourself, even if it's just 5% more than you were trusting yourself before. It makes a difference.

  • Get some facts. Now that you've done some of the internal work, it's time for external work. The best way to do this is finding concrete data. How many people are actually within your niche/demographic? Where do they go to find a therapist? What are the top 3 things they consider when making their selection? Can they afford your services, or should you consider paneling with a specific insurance? Think of as many questions as you can, then do some research. Make your marketing endeavors as data-driven as possible.

That's it! Three simple, free, easy resources for marketing.

Struggling? Comment below, let me know. I'd love to lay my eyes on your practice and give you a few ideas. I'm happy to offer some insights at no cost to you.
